Last week, various news outlets reported on atom-based typography, the atomic pen. The system used, umm, silicon and atoms and stuff with a big microscope with a funny tip to write onto a hexagonal grid pattern of something or other, claiming to have produced the smallest possible lettering. Stop me if I am getting too technical here. Well, renowned brainbox and typographic superhero Jonathan Hoefler (famous for designing Comic Sans*) went and proved them wrong. Gosh! *: Vincent Connare designed Comic Sans. That was just my little attempt at a joke. Sorry.
